Exciting times and some nail-biting model watching ahead. As always don't get too downbeat at the ever changing model runs. Cast your mind back to last week and remember how the timing was wrong even for some of the higher resolution models even at T-0.

 

I'm looking at the broad pattern and then will be on radar and satellite watch.

 

I wonder if we're at the start of a trend of Thundery Fridays? I know it's only 2...

With the cool breeze I'm having a hard time imagining we might have storms rolling our way tomorrow night. Obviously this will  change. Slight downgrade on the 06z id say but its all to play for now. Good luck to everyone!

Lightening wizard is still on 18z, that chart looks very good though. Not sure when it'will change to the 6z but I doubt it will look like this, not sure.

 

Yeah will wait to this afternoon and post them up, these charts are not great for  pinpoint convection but good for broad area

The 6z a bit of a blow for us a bit further north, suggesting the storms will stay further south and only giving us a period of thudery rain later in the day, hoping this will change however.

Ill update the "hot spot" tomorrow but I only based that on the 6z this morning I would have put it more West but everything has been shunted South and East on the latest run... Hope it does not start a trend

There's no shunt East, it has moved it South, more in line with the MetO.

Starting to get very excited about this as it looks like it could deliver for quite a wide area, and being on a Friday makes it even better. Annoying thing is I will be stuck in the cinema Friday evening watching the new Jurassic Park film, potentially completely oblivious to stormageddon happening outside lol!
