Some strong radar returns coming from east anglia but no Sferics being shown

It's getting quite black, down to our south and south-east...Hope springs eternal?

Raining here, second downpour of the day. I doubt anything's going to materialise but the Met Office app has finally crowbarred thunder into today's forcast for me. Nothing on the Blitzortung app remotely close though.

I'm sorry to moan, but this is ridiculous. At this point I am 95% sure that no storms will strike the Midlands.

As for the East they may get their last few strikes before everything goes quite.

Today was beyond disappointment.

Im holding on to my hopes, even a storm 50 miles from here would be fine if it was after dark.

Gotta love those high vantage points

I was just looking at the NMM4 VS radar for 8pm. The difference is highly amusing :)

Well temperature dropped in High Wycombe by 5c.

The clouds are clearing but fresher air is coming in now and feeling so much less humid.

Looking at the radar, sadly for some it appears to be all over.

No storms firing up over France right now and nothing really firing up over UK.

Here's to the next threat

The 'interesting' band that once showed potential has now weakened to a spell of light rain here in London!

The atmosphere just not playing ball in the UK with this plume.

Decent AC around Norwich now. Looking threatening.

A night of a few beers sat watching the World Cup of Darts, it is for me I think.

Laters. Won't be able to resist an occasional peep at the radar though I bet.  :friends:

A quick posting of a radar update showing an area of potential interest for storms over the coming few hours, as shown encircled in the colour red.

attachicon.gifRain incoming 1935hrs on 12th June 2015, could go boom.jpg

All the above is stated as a mere hunch, nothing especially scientific but still going on the current atmosphere profiling as well.

Half an hour on from the above post and it isn't looking good but I would strongly suggest that Norfolk and Suffolk are the counties to be chasing in tonight, having looked at what is brewing up there.

Good luck all and sundry.

Essex weather saying: "Latest model data shows no energy for the storms to tap into this evening. Welcome rainfall for all of Essex in next hour."
