Looks like it's kicking off now. Blue sky appearing, sun out and temps rocketing!!

Summer solstice already would you believe that the days will be shortening again already even though very slowly at first (if too off topic feel free to delete)

I know its come around soooo quickly! I'm glad things are kicking off and giving some people something to get excited over!

Very Heavy rain here, deep rolls of thunder occasionally aswell, in matter of fact this rain is torrential, just had to make a dash in it

Just to add, the air had a very humid feel to it before the storm, most humid so far this year by a long shot

Already radar viewing is showing far more in the way of convective rainfall and lightning than our recent much vaunted plume 'event'

now seems to be moving East I appear sandwiched between ones to the north and south with the worst possibly avoiding me directly but you never know

Sodding nothing here at the moment, but showers '100%' at 5pm according to iPod weather app.

Not holding out for any lightning of thunder though as the bleedin' sun hasn't come out all day

You might get away with them going either side of you, result being you hearing distant rumbles north and south of your location. It would a bold call to say to was guaranteed though.

I've landed in Stansted, have been sweeping the forum and the radar. Humid here but very dense thick cloud.

Hope it's going to shift soon :D

Edit - just got the fright of my life as my 5.1 stereo system and blu ray player launched a dvd very loudly hearts now just slowing down

The bulk of the action seems to be north of London - radar looks more energetic than El Disasto.

I think Mr Blobby is more energetic than El Disasto

Just driven through a small storm not far from Burton. Now near EM Airport under light rain and the sun poking out.

My weather app was pretty much spot on for timing.

Pretty heavy rain here for the last ten minutes, possibly the most intense rainfall we have had during the day.
