After avoiding showers yesterday there have been a few brief heavy showers this afternoon/evening after plenty of warm sunshine until 16.00 . The cloud/showers have ushered in quite a cooling effect as it has dropped to 13.4c from 19c before 16.00 along with a fresh NNE breeze.

Yesterday is the only dry day in the last 14 days!!

Very heavy downpours yesterday afternoon in the Bristol area, caused all sorts of driving issues. Don't know why people lose the ability to drive when it rains, not to mention the lack of car lights on!!

Cloudy but bright this morning and feeling cool.

Chasing sunshine this afternoon to try and dry washing. Now the sun is lowering in the sky the time it can shine into our garden is lessened by next door's house and a tree in their garden. Last year I managed to use the line into mid October thanks to the very warm early Autumn. Thankfully the sun is still powerfully warm when out in between the varying cloud types and we're above 18c after a cool morning.

Today has been one of those days when the skies are dark grey and look almost storm-like, but nothing has happened. Only a bit of drizzle around lunch time.

Foggy at sunrise but cleared within half an hour, thence wall to wall sunshine and warm this afternoon.  Lovely job!

Thinking about digging out the fingerless gloves for going out working at 7am tomorrow! Just for the first hour before it quickly warms up.

So rare to have not a single pixel of precipitation on the radar anywhere in the UK.

Another chilly morning this morning at 4.2c but not quite cold enough for a ground frost which we did see Saturday night.

A scattering of small fair weather cumulus this afternoon so no gin clear day today, however it's stunningly bright and warm after a chilly start where my gloves came in useful until just after 0800!
