The first really Autumnal feeling day with only 15.3c max despite unbroken sunshine from 15.00, perfectly clear and moonlit evening though.

Hopefully will hear thunder tonight. Im not sure though...

I think thundery activity will be restricted to nearer the coasts (Bristol Channel and English Channel).

Missing all the showers here in north Bristol. Plenty rattling by to the east and west though.

Meanwhile a streamer of them came through Warminster between 13.00 to 15.00 with some pretty potent brief downpours mixed in. The day had started showery too but plenty of sunshine from 09.00-13.00 and again since the last shower cleared.

It seems we have a front to come tomorrow night then a long dry spell.

Certainly looks like it. The fronts will probably take a fair time to clear so I'll happily write off tomorrow.

Cold feeling start at 05.9C. Temperature climbing fast now though in the sunshine. Expecting it to cloud over from mid-morning.

Interesting cloud this morning. Much Ci, some Ac and Cu. Temp 10C and zephyr from the SSW.

Have been out working and enjoying the interesting cloud which has edged slowly in from the West, it seems to have hit something of a buffer as the clear blue sky that started the day is still visible to the East.

Topping out at 16.9°C, not too bad really for late September

18.1c here and could go higher seeing as there's decent blue sky around after a hazier few hours , it is much warmer air than the last few days. Interesting to see Exeter Airport on the NW homepage as the warmest Met office station in the UK.

A fairly decent squall line passed through around 06:12 this morning, bringing some torrential rain for a short period. It has pulled itself apart as it crossed the area, although I see it has reassembled for an attack on Portsmouth. 2mm of rain in a very short time.
