Yesterday's total was 13.4mm, drying nicely today, but looking at a few showers to the west......

Brief very heavy downpour here from the cluster of showers in the Severn area. Maybe more to come shortly.

In all honesty I did not see this day of weather coming ; early low cloud/mist then long, warm sunny periods! I fully expected at least 1 downpour but can only see CBs to the South and some TCu scattered around this area amongst a lot of bright blue sky. The temperature has just nudged 20c in the last hour and I am rather regretting not doing washing as it would have dried quickly, too late now though so hopefully tomorrow's HIGH pressure will provide similarly beautiful weather to this!

Up to 20.2°C a little while ago, dropped back slightly and there's a shower about to skim past us....

Absolute belter of a downpour here around lunchtime. Wife had just hung the washing out and came running through to say it was raining, NO, it wasn't raining it was pouring, radar shows the band of intense shower activity @13:25.

Guess who's name is mud :(

A downpour at around 5pm at home, it was heading East when I got to the Bath junction of the M4 looked very dark towards Chippenham/Swindon way

Yes, was driving back towards Bristol from the east around 5.30pm and can confirm that the heavens well and truly opened. Wipers on full making little difference. Got to Aztec West and it was barely damp.

Typical anticyclonic weather for September with thick fog first thing, lifting into mist and now breaking up in to hazy sunshine. Warming up nicely too.

Fog eventually cleared to give a gloriously sunny and warm day.  Remarkably warm on the Jurassic coast with no cloud over the immediate coastline or out to sea.

Very respectable day for September here. Thick fog which lifted into mist during the morning then cleared to sunshine by midday. Convective cloud built up in the afternoon but we still managed 6.5 hours of sun.

The most beautiful morning here in the Purbeck. The mist is lingering over the river and fields revealing the most delicate of spider lace designs. The sun is rising into a clear blue sky and it still has a kick in it's rays. There is a gentle warm wind floating in from the coast carrying the smell of cooked breakfasts. Gorgeous Autumnal morning :)
