104.5mm for August now and still more to come, surprisingly only 8mm from this mornings bout though.

On the plus side, lovely warm sunshine now and washing drying quickly.

That was quite a storm that passed over locks heath lunchtime, torrential rain and some strong winds, not sure of the wind speeds as its away from my home.

Nice sinkhole approx a metre square appeared at lunchtime in Titchfield at the bottom of Southampton Hill opposite the Titchfield Mill pub and its very close to the River.

They are saying the heavy rain caused it. One lane of the carriageway there is now blocked.

My station at home has shown about 9mm of rain today and strong winds lunchtime and early afternoon with some gusts hitting 30 - 37mph.

A low of 16c at 9am and a high of  20.1 at 11.50am.

Ive recorded 97.4mm of rain this month so far.

Whoop whoop!!

A dry work morning for the first time since last Tuesday (18th!) and a fascinating sky watching day with frequent CBs passing to the North, a veil of Cirrus/Altocumulus to the South and a large clear slot in between.

First shower that I've actually got today and it just clipped me, giving some big spots of rain but nothing else, everything seems to be going either side...

8mm today from 2 downpours and it only rained for half an hour maximum.

Similar to hear, a few spots around sunrise, but a heavy shower around 11:30 and again at 1pm gave us 3.4mm. Apart from that good sunny spells today and a high of 18.5c.

Quite a cool night last night, dipped to 09.9C so felt a bit autumnal first thing. Glorious sunshine now though!

Yesterday was practically a repeat performance of Thursday, the only difference being the 2 showers were not as heavy and brought just 2mm as opposed to 8mm.

Rather a fine morning with sunny spells alongside some Stratocumulus, Cirrus and Altocumulus.

My neighbour asked me yesterday afternoon what the weekend forecast was and I said to expect rain late today and early tomorrow then a fine Monday, however now it seems today will stay dry and tomorrow may too whereas Monday looks, frankly, shocking.

However if that were to occur it would be the first wet Spring/Summer Bank Holiday Monday for a long time.

Yes I scanned through the afternoon radar slides and it seemed to have that blip several times.

Have had some sporadic rain in the last few hours but much of what is falling is evaporating before reaching the ground.
