Has anyone posted this from yesterday?

http://www.kentonline.co.uk/herne-bay/news/tornado-spotted-in-kent-42169/

Tornado/funnel cloud observed in Herne Bay, Kent yesterday afternoon.

The timing does coincide with a thunderstorm I was watching over that area on blitzortung.

Members local to Stourbridge, Halesowen and North Worcestershire last Saturday will remember seeing the beautiful wall cloud structure form a rapidly developing storm last Saturday evening.

It was particularly well seen around Cradley Heath, Quarry Bank and Halesowen it seemed. The Stourbridge News has a story on it too. Interestingly someone has a video of what they believe was a brief funnel cloud associated with this, observing rotation going on within the cloud. Currently waiting to see this video but if so, it will certainly add to the events last Saturday. Probably one of the only funnel clouds occurring that day? :)

Before I say anything taken at a pinch of salt and can easily change. However GFS 18z looking very interesting, to begin temperatures reaching 27-30'c potentially across more SE England and East Anglia, 25'c further west. CAPE and Li values seem to be on the increase from previous run, which seem to be quite widespread across England values reaching values of 1500 max. 850hpa temps seem to cover England in 15'c, maybe skimming 20'c across far southern areas. Precipitation wise a band of storms seems possible Saturday night into Sunday morning and again more strong storms seem possible in the afternoon in Central and Eastern areas. Just my take on it. But will most likely change.

Am I right in saying there does seem to be some sort of squall line feature within this front? Looking at met office precip forecast map, it seems that way?

The wind is mental here. Also very large drops of rain. Looks like a squall line is incoming.

absolute biblical rain here.. lots of surface water

RAIN123 no wind here what so ever and I mean not even a gust... Very strange!!

Looking at the radar there could be some serious rainfall totals in our neck of the woods!

I am still in new Milton and not in ash vale, but the wind is so strong that the rain is going sideways!

Looks to be clearing now.

I am just about to enter the squall zone again. Looks like it will have vicious winds as it is a thin line on the NW radar, sky going dark now...Eeeek :shok: Biblical for the third time today by the looks on said radar.

August monsoon....

Hopefully this squall will hold together as it passes here. Camera at the ready. The clouds are racing across the sky at the moment.

That second picture is definitely a rainshaft. First one is pretty interesting though.

Squall just passed through here with some fairly impressive rain
