Well at least the rain is coming down vertically instead of horizontally as it felt like yesterday.  Winds have died down, but the rain looks like it's going to stick around for most of the day.

I'm enjoying this rain. Off out in the hills soon to see some raging torrents and temporary waterfalls.

St bees head was 2.9c at 2pm, that is a very impressive difference.

Heavy continuous rain through the morning and up until mid-afternoon here, reservoirs are at capacity and there's some flooding in areas. Another day of the same and there'd be serious issues no doubt.

It's just downright diabolical. The rain has been absolutely relentless seemingly throughout the whole of November. I'm thinking the south must be relatively dry, because this weather is surely newsworthy? I'm intrigued to find out the rainfall and sunshine figures for the month for the UK and our region.

Apart from some promise way out in FI,the outlook is dire.

More rain, and as snow joke says in above post, flooding will

Become a major concern.

I'm disappointed the forecast  shows rain passing right through our region rather than stalling over us.

It would've more interesting when I see huge totals of rain. Oh well. :(

Continuous heavy rain over the Rossendale Valley from dawn to just before dusk and with already saturated ground and watercourses way above normal levels, no surprise that local roads were flooded including the M66 which had one lane closed in both directions.

River levels have dropped off again now but with another deluge expected overnight into tomorrow morning, further issues look likely.
