Temp like a yo yo today, fallen back again down to 8.2c as the cooler air tucks back in behind the depression.

Rain has been torrential for the last 4 hours, a LOT of surface water and rivers rising quickly, wouldn't be surprised to see reports of flash floods.

Yes West Wales and Cumbria and other western fringes have had it bad today... rain has held of here most of the day but it's started to fall a bit now and will no doubt reach us in a few hours.  Hopefully by then it will get a bit of a shuftie on and clear away eastwards

Yeah, the intensity of the rain over a prolonged period is quite something, real bad conditions on the roads, only a small respite tomorrow morning before more heavy rain along with severe gales in places.

Torrential rain passing through along a developing squall-line, garden is flooded and roads are like rivers at the moment and that was only a 15-minute downpour.

More worrying amounts of rain forecast in the days ahead for the Lake District on saturated ground. Expecting more flood warnings and severe weather warnings. The rain seems destined to plough into this part of the country, another write off weekend ahead, the third one in four...

Thank god. Crystal blue skies to start the day and a lovely sunrise to go with it. Forecast to stay this way until nightfall. So thankful for a calm, sunny day today. Beats getting soaked that's for sure. It's mild too :)
