Suns out now and temp up to 14.9c, shame it isn't going to stay dry...

Met Office have just confirmed a new rainfall record in a 24hr period has been set, Honister Pass in Cumbria received 341.4mm of rain at the weekend.

Dry here for much of the day although some heavy rain over the last couple of hours.

Currently 6c after reaching double figures earlier so very much in the M category.

Hopefully a change to more seasonal temperatures is on the cards but I'm sure that everyone will take any forecast that includes dry weather, irrespective of the temperatures on offer.

Wild this evening with gusts around 60mph, also turned very wet but has eased in the last 10 mins, still pouring down over the fells which isn't good news at all... Potential for further heavy rain in coming days into the weekend with exact details to be decided, not good news with a lot of nervous people anxiously watching the forecasts.

Looking at arpege and nmm models lookslike some potentially severe wintery weather saturday.....

I'm not a fan of these snow prediction charts a few days out, generally they over exaggerate things.
