A decent sunny start to the day, cloud building now and some specks on the radar starting to blossom, could be some beefy showers later.

Get ready for snow!

I guess you are referring to settling snow. However, snow can easily fall to low ground in this set up.

As our members have shown in the NE Tempory coverings are certainly possible.

The eastern half of the country is doing better as usual :-)

Some beefy ones around our region as well though.

Small snow-grains fell in Buxton early this afternoon, showers across the Peaks also delivering some of the wintry-stuff with embedded lightning showing up on the NWR.

Yep got the beefy snow shower up in Oldham TC - Very quick transition from sunshine to windswept hail/snow.  Sadly it's April and not January so it didn't stick around for too long.

A cold day today - Had a shower of hail & wet snow about an hour ago. Certainly doesn't feel like almost May!

Dry and sunny here for a while now. Purely rain today but  that's no surprise.

Prolonged spell of Rain/Sleet and snow crossrs the Region.

Imagine it could be quite trickey for the c Friday morning

School run with snow down to quite modest levels

Heavy shower of sleet and hail. Add the distant thunder, rain, sleet/snow and sunshine from today and it's been a genuine "everything but the kitchen sink" day. Cold as well.
