True, never mind at least we know that winter will vanish without a trace as we get into September.

People actually care about snow a week before the start of May?

It might not be ideal and what people want heading into summer. But this is a weather enthusiasts forum and snow and convective weather like this is interesting whether people like it or not!

Looks like it's going to be a chilly one here tonight, 0.4°C already.

Just had a heavy graupel shower pass through, each one almost a cm in diameter, has left a covering. Also had the years first clap of thunder! The temperature has barely been above 6C today and that's even with sunny intervals, spring's a slow burner this year.

Another sunny day with blue skies. Cold though.  My parents in Donegal have had snow, hail, sun, wind and rain all in a day !!

Brrr today, hail/graupel/sleet and snow showers on and off leaving a temporary cover. The fells have a dusting. Tomorrow afternoon and evening could deliver quite low level snow.

Big fluffy flakes from that shower, settling above 250m. Hills are lovely and white. Feel sorry for the birds nesting on the moors though!

We also had a heavy snow shower last night. Briefly lay on cars. I went to bed though so unsure if it did it again

Front has arrived and we have wet sleety stuff with a few flakes mixed in. As evaporative cooling takes hold I'm expecting the precipitation to quickly turn to wet snow down to relatively low levels - could be a surprise very late notable snowfall for some parts over next 24 hours. Fells certainly about to take a pasting, pity I'm heading south this afternoon missing out.
