 Rain this morning but son was in and out this afternoon and didn't feel too bad. Max 12.2°c

Awful afternoon, cold & wet... High temp today 8.7°C, not much breeze today.

Poor all day here, cloudy and drizzle between the moderate rain and with nothing in the way of sunshine it felt cold and raw.

hopefully something a bit better tomorrow but tbh, after today anything would be an improvement.

A miserable day, rain throughout, chilly max of 9 degrees, this evening very grey with a misty low veil of cloud developing. Tomorrow is looking equally damp and grey and cool, rest of the week remaining cool but drier and sunnier perhaps by the weekend, though frontal activity looks destined to settle over Cumbria much of the week - very annoying.

Bit of a damp morning so far but it's starting to dry up now and looking a little brighter. Currently 9.2°C after a low overnight of 7.4°C.

Unfortunately we sat just on the wrong side of the cloudy zone today with drizzle on and off and some more pronounced spells of rain from time to time. So another drab cloudy cool day.

Arc of rain has got here and it's fairly heavy. Looks as though none of the models have picked this up.

What a contrast. Not a good one. Yesterday I was sat in a beer garden in my shorts and t-shirt, today it's lashing it down thanks to a little finger of rain moving up from the south.

Craving a warm settled spell.

Much better start to the day, started off a bit grey but some more sunshine developing now. 9.7°C atm after a low of 6.4°C, gentle NE'ly breeze.

Cloudy with sporadic drizzle ahead of the cold front moving south, feeling cool @ 6.7°C and a light NW'ly wind.

The sun has broken through the clouds here, quite pleasant.  Still in the milder air.  Won't last though, tomorrow will feel markedly fresher.

Just rain here, steady but nothing heavy.

maybe something a bit more wintry later in the night but hopefully it's a short lived northerly, the sort of let down we usually get in mid winter before something a bit warmer comes through later in the weekend.

Chilly now! 4.5°C with DP of 1.2°C in a biting NE'ly breeze, got up to 9.3°C earlier in the sun. Mainly dry all day but some showers this evening.

Mmm the cold front hasn't produced any precipitation here, indeed the radar shows all the rain over the Pennines and virtually nothing over much of the Lake District - all rather odd, especially as there is heavy precipitation in the Irish Sea.. 

Tonight expected to deliver a ground frost. Tomorrow will be cold.
