Hopefully these move inland a bit overnight and give something to Eastern areas. I dont think I can put up with yet another winter where western areas of the region get hammered every time while we get nothing. It doesn't seem to matter whether its a northerly, easterly or battleground setup, the result seems to be the same!

Turned to rain now reef, bloody cold but all wet meh round here,

I like this video trying to work how the gritter managed to take himself of the road.

For others' information, this video is dated 8th January 21 rather than recent.

Just a dusting at home this weekend which I am more than happy with for late November.

Today I ventured onto the North York Moors and it was like being in Scandinavia.

Meanwhile I was busy updating my weather pages with the weather conditions from the rest of the region.

Here are some of the photos I received from the Yorkshire Dales over the weekend where copious amounts of snow fell over high ground.

Good driving shame about the snow plough. I luv how numpties in the road hardly ever get out of the way. They could have given the family a lift on the way back though.

Just catching up in here as i have been busy decorating today

i would like to say that this morning's snow was a great surprise and was not forecast and now i have another 3 inches on top of the first 3 inches what fell on Friday night/early Saturday morning,...a great start to winter,...well almost but great to see snow in November and with the models sniffing at other cold possibilities later next week and into the weekend,...we could see more of the same

here is a few pics from this morning,...the snow was that heavy that it brought down next doors phone cable.

The Ice warning well justified this morning.
It is treacherous out there today.  Careful folks !

I bottled out of the evening walk as the pavements were wet sheet ice. Snow will mostly be gone by tomorrow morning though.

Already half way to last years days of snow lying and it's not winter yet. However this maybe the only snow of autumn/winter as far as we know.

GFS has jumped the cold ship into the mild ship on tonight's run so they'll be unhappy people in the model thread.

Well all the snow has gone overnight apart from the piles of snow made from clearing driveways. Breezy and mild at the moment.

Some nasty short, sharpe showers rolling in this aft, hail mixed in as well, starting to feel chilly!

Lunchtime bike ride was miserable, a cold 30-40mph cross wind from the NNW with frequent showers. Took 10mins longer for my normal route owing to the wind. Now blowing a hooley (again) with sleety/hail heavy showers at the coast. Snow is forecast again tonight and if it materialises it could be interesting in the morning.

I have seen the snow potential on the forecast, could be tricky tmrw A.m or after all this rain cold slush fest!

Sharp showers, one after the other rolling in of the North sea, a lot of hail mixed in giving a light covering to surfaces but still very wet underneath so not really lasting, radar looks lively tho!

Well a much windier spell of weather today than Arwen produced so we clocked in joint 8th looking at the reports. The weather looking rather uninteresting for the next five days cold and wet at times but generally not doing much.

Far windier here on Saturday than today, although today had some quite sharp gusts along with the showers off the N sea,

Currently 3c with intermittent graupel/rainy carp, wind calmed down, radar looks lively, how much rolls inland off the N sea remains to be seen?

Same here in Bempton, quite wet snow, but still snow, and a lot of graupel mixed in. Roads round here look 'interesting' on my early walk even the main road through the village looks slushy and snowy.

Heavy down pour of mostly hail now, followed by a flash and a loud rumble of thunder, lost elec for 10secs or so, that was an impressive little shower
