Not quite as good at lower levels, but still managed a reasonable but not measurable cover before the sun came out. Its rapidly melting now though so very marginal.

A nice surprise though. Good to get a snow at 0900 day so early in the winter.

Unexpected snow showers and slight dusting in Lincoln this morning, it looks like it's settled more readily in the higher parts of the city than where I am, but still a covering on some surfaces.

Three separate snowfalls before 3rd Dec, that's rare for here apart from the 2010 epic falls, feels a different winter this year .

Although not much it was great to see those along the east coast see some of the white stuff this morning.

I had a collection at Wragby near Market Rasen this afternoon and I came back to Malton via the Lincolnshire Wolds and I was amazed at the amount of snow that at Caistor and how it hadn't melted despite the sunshine.

I thought there was a chance of some snow from this band in Lincoln but it's arced around to the south and it's now 2.4C at the University so this front looks like being a bust for here.  I did get snow unexpectedly this morning though.

Next week may feature a few bonus Snow events however models seem to behaving a big of erm hum erm hu moment right now.

However the bonus is that things look more interesting than they did a few hours ago.

Monday does look very interesting! ARPEGE, ICON, GFS and WRF-NMM showing snow quite widely mid-Monday with the Met Office more keen on a sleety mix, but even they've upgraded to sleet from plain ol' rain for Sheffield so we're trending the right way for a snow event. We'll see what the hi-res models bring later this weekend

On a video I did for my page I noted that it was interesting to see the milder wedge of air just ebb away southwards on Monday, allowing the colder air to influence the precip more and keep us on the snowier side of things ❄️ Interesting!

Currently 4.5c with a mostly clear sky, early next week might have some potential for interesting weather

Some sleet on top this morning rain by the time I left. The rain looks to last a while so if temps drop enough who knows
