It looks good on paper, temp currently 1.5c and dew point 0 so it should be heavy snow now with big flakes but it's just rain already. Bust again

See what tonight and tomoz brings but doubt anything, we're just going back to what we've got now after a short mild sector

Ice pellets here, very surprised there's no warning out for ice around here, it's lethal out there.

what is the favoured parts for tonight/tomorrow?

From my limited knowledge, west is best but snow showers will penetrate a fair way east imo.

A good window of 8 hrs or so and coming at the right time to settle.

Just started snowing here, too early to tell how much we will get and if it will settle, but just got back from lunchtime bike ride and it was grey and cold with a biting southerly wind, and around 3C. Still a lot of icy patches persisting

Height.

I think poor intensity has cost a lot of us.

Surprisingly, started off as light snow in Lincoln and then turned to sleet as it got heavier, presumably because although the air temperature dropped from around 3.5 to 2.6, the dew point crept up.  The heaviest stuff is still to the west though.

A grand total of 0.2mm here. The front did look more active than it was.  Local forecasts till has snow for us but I suspect it will dry bit cloudy for a while then sunny spells later on.

It went pretty much as the models planned so can't get annoyed, there was hardly any precipitation here.

7mm here, 4mm was snow 3mm ice pellets.

Tbh I haven't followed Buxton area on the charts so not sure what was forecast, for all of S/W Yorkshire it was pretty much dry with a rain shadow.

Temperature went above 3c around half an hour or so ago but looks to be dropping back again already.  Down to 2.5c here.  Colder air moving back in already?
