The front really died a death just before reaching us. The showers have reached us and one of the wettest days of the month with 2.4mm

Another windy but very mild day here, managed my full 9.5mile ride at lunchtime, yesterdays ride was curtailed because of the wind. I wonder if we will get any proper winter weather this year, seems unlikely now, maybe the odd cold snap, but no proper cold spell.

Thinking back to my childhood in the 60s the number of days with 'well into double digit' temperatures would have been unthinkable, even in London where I was brought up we had snow most winters, and the increase in stormy (wind) weather is very noticeable. Not a change for the better for me.

A slight covering of snow earlier this morning. Supposed to be getting windy but it isn't right now.

It's very windy here with horizontal cold rain. Just recorded a 91km/h wind gust.

Rain eventually arrived after tea, albeit sporadic, proper breezy out tonight, rattling a few branches off, will have a gather up in the morning

Horrible out this lunch time, rain with sleety blobs mixed in, gusty wind, so, feet up, log burner ticking away, a brew and footie on tv, grand job!

Batten down the hatches as winter has returned.

Hail, sleet and rain + thunder in bracing Bridlington.

Last snow fell on November 28 but winter is not done with us yet.

Some really strong winds blasting Sheffield atm probably the strongest gusts of the day.

Wind settled down a bit now compared to this aft, clear sky's but not too cold, not much activity on the radar for these parts, should be a quiet settled night,

A mild day in Bridlington but we had warmer at the very start of January.

Just another Ol Blighty winter's day at the end of the day (with a hint of spring thrown in).

The odd snowflake here and there before the month is out but the days are getting longer and that is a good thing.

There was the beast from the east at the very end of February 2018 so you can never take it for granted that winter is over.

Roll on summer 2022

Glorious sunshine this morning, although a tad chilly, had to scrape the windscreen again this morning, probably about a dozen times this winter so far!

A cold dry evening out, although a bit of cloud cover is preventing an early evening freeze, log burner on full chat, like to keep warm

Horrible day out as forecast, a day for drinking tea and raiding the fridge for snacks, roll on 3pm and the rugby
