Went into the mad thread, slowly backs away 🤣

If this evening's ECM doesn't show Winter nirvana, I predict much wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Yep. I can't be disappointed though. Been there too many times to worry about it. May as well just watch the TV forecasts as watch the model output. But it's kind of addictive still. No matter what happens I think with this setup we are surely going to get a below normal monthly temperature for December.

It’s getting there that’s for sure. Very rare to have this potential so early in the season. Surely can’t go wrong now. Someone has to get it. I’m just hoping for those struggling with heat this will not feel so bad. Most people are far tougher then the press make out anyway.

Evening all , promised myself I would keep off posting till 1st December this year ....looking like good things may be heading this way ....and I do enjoy watching that mad thread during these times ..it reminds of a sketch where some fellow is trying to hit a nail in with a hammer but hits his hand every time no matter what he tries ...I think the Germans call it schadenfrued ....here's to the next schadenfrued season hope everyone gets what they want 🎅

Evening folks, only back on again and looking forward to the ‘potential’ and eventual snow events this year, but can’t help but think about those struggling with already ludicrous energy bills.

Hope everyone’s well and getting into the Christmas spirit 🤓

Certainly am Weegaz.

From the middle of next week and onwards Winter is truelly arriving in December for the first time in many years.

Models firming up on a sustained and bitter cold spell.

For those that don’t follow the model thread this, from Matt Hugo seals the deal. Page 140 last post on that page 👍

Fighting  like cats in the Mt! Ecm threw a major wobbler today and an Atlantic  storm.  Hopefully  only a blip.

Some wailing on the MT, as always it might be location based wailing

It is indeed. Being in the NW, we're closer to the colder air.

Just one run, so I'm not overly concerned.

And they are back to being happy in the MT 🤣

Some of the posters in the MT have real issues. Hanging on every run like it is gospel.

It's mad.

And so what if it an Atlantic storm or if it’s snow or warm weather, we’ll keep getting on with it guys. I’ll take whatever the weather throws and the fact is I’ve no say in the weather, no matter what Tamara says, or try’s to say. Cough.

The actual weather is what we experience, all, predictions fall short of that.

Looks like the ECM has "back tracked" so all nice and happy in the mad thread this morning, my builders have let me down for Monday and are coming the following week, so if the snow (if we are getting any) could hold off until the 22nd that would be great 😀

I see some posters  are dismissing the chances of snow at lower levels because it's not showing a foot of snow in their backyards. Looking at the latest GFS  some parts of the country could see some snow before next weekend

That wee feature they're discussing on Thursday early morning appears to heading for us in the North too. This is the latest from the ICON, will be interesting keeping an eye on this in next few days.

I've heard of a chance of snow so I am back 🤣 Nice to see everyone again.

I dont think this spell will be anything too significant but it'll be a nice wee start to winter!
