A bit torturous watching the heavier precip from chelmsford and colchester trying to make its way to London. It's progressing but also breaking up as it does so. I think fairly safe to say that in the next hour there should be some slightly heavier snow again over north london region

I'm actually seeing some signs of it pepping up again. Latest radar near Chelmsford, Colchester and Clacton has got better and the back edge to the east of Ipswich is starting to build again.

Yes, after a day-time maximum of -1.3c, we are now at -1.1C after it fell to -1.6C earlier in the evening.  The breeze is strong enough that this isn't due to clear/cloudy variations, but the very feeble warmer sector.

Umm. Needs to scoot off I did note that in the south east of Kent and south east essesz temperature vsbd dew points are lower...

Brighton looks out of it

We had snow all day in Crawley. Out of nowhere. This cold spell is set to last until Friday at least. I would say it’s very possible anywhere will see more snow.

Thank you. Fingers crossed for a cm or 2 tonight.

Re Wednesday, you've really given me hope that it's maybe not over for us!

Don't get too wedded to the idea - I'm looking out for it but not expecting it!

Yh proper showers in the NE the type we got on radar on 2009/2010 when we were gutted we were getting yellows at times what we would give for some yellow radar returns now - It's all a bit meh

If the met office is right, then we could be in for a long cold spell, until at leist 8th march!  :

Back snowing in Folkestone, light - but not as light as the dust as @lottiekentdescribed what we had earlier today. Looks like that radar is showing a few more hours of bits and pieces for down here.

I cleared the car off today as we need to get out for the vets in the morning, so if we get any appreciable accumulation I should be able to tell on that.

The car was completely iced up under the snow, doors stuck shut! Side roads are lethal with ice too, main roads seemed ok at least when I popped out earlier.

Yeah would be nice. The intensity just isn't there in SE.

Just looked out and the dog prints from an hour earlier have all been filled and covered up, as have the car tracks out the front now. Even the footprints from the Amazon man half an hour ago have all disappeared in white snow..

Coming down quite hard too..

Moderate snow here now, but flakes are much bigger than anything we've had so far.

Consequently, the patio has finally disappeared and crunchy underfoot.

Weird, the dog came in almost white just now and he's got a black back..

Its odd how it differs everywhere and you aren't that far away either...

I did note from the Met Office pressure charts that the high over southern Scandinavia is set to intensify quite quickly by late in the week (to 1043mb), which may provide renewed blocking.
