Sorry to hear about Puffy. A real character on the forum.

A lively bit of weather currently rattling through this end of Ayrshire. Torrential rain with some thunder mixed in. Wasn’t expecting that this evening.

Was away all day yesterday so am very sad to hear the news about Puffy, one of my favourite posters on the kilted thread. RIP.

I wonder if my house has just been hit by a small tornado. It could have been a squall or a downburst but the wind very quickly increased then decreased and I think the wind might have been spinning. The cloud is moving east but the wind was blowing west.

That band of rain's just hit us lashing down now and as quick as it's came it's cleared off briefly heavy

Bright and breezy here now and feeling quite mild after that rain band passed through. A gorgeous dawn before the rain!

Very dull morning here, but a much better afternoon.  Sunshine and variable cloud amounts. Warm enough. Looks like a decent few days to follow and then cooling off toward the end of the month..

Some lovely sunshine in Glasgow today, not that warm but pleasant enough, decent breeze.  Longer shadows evident now and the sun no longer getting into some of the tenement lined streets. Definitely feels like the dog days have begun now, it’ll definitely be noticeable when the sun sets around 8:40 this evening. Enjoying the remaining summery days but also waiting for the transition into autumn now.

Well we've had some bad news on the new property, unfortunately due to flooding issue the landlord isn't going to be able to have the property ready. So its back to the drawing board again.

Do have a viewing on a property down towards the Borders rural area out of Blyth Bridge... postcode comes up at 251m asl.. so im thinking that should be good enough..🤞🤞🤞

Not a bad gift box from the wife on our Anniversary..

Treated her to a nice walk around Fyvie Castle, and later im doing a proper big roast chicken dinner.

Lovely day here a definite nip in the breeze first thing as 5:30.. but the rest of the day has been beautiful.

If it's just snow you're chasing I reckon you'll do better in Rothienorman than you will in the borders, even with little bit of extra height.

We have friends quite high up not far from Peebles and we get way more snow than they do.

Very acceptable day, mix of cloud and sunny spells.

Max of 18c and light winds.

Plan was to tour round Craigievar Castle today before it closes for renovation - the 90min wait for the tour though saw the kids revolt and a trip to Alford instead!

The castle really does have a stunning view from it...

Morning.

Think it may clear up a little later for the central belt though - at least according to a forecast I saw later last night?

As 101 said, cloudy and feeling a bit cool here at the moment. Current temp of 13.4c.  Things drying up nicely now after a few showers earlier on.

That's unfortunate MS.   Surprised you haven't considered Blairgowrie area (if it's snaw you're after? and we all know it is!)  It can get REALLY cold and snowy there!

Yuk, wet mostly. Took my son to Ratho for his Monday climbing lesson, drove back on very wet roads. Had almost forgotten what that's like. Took the dog for an evening walk at the Kelpies last night to see them lit up, very bad idea. The Kelpies were great but the dog went into ned mode and barked horribly at nearly every dog it saw. It was extremely embarrassing as we were basically walking a small brown snarling thug. He's normally absolutely fine with other dogs. No idea what got into him.
