Good 24+ hrs of precipitation, ranging from very light drizzle to deluge - but not a hint of any crash bang action.

The storm over Inverness though looked spectacular...

Feeling very autumnal today with the max of just 13c with a keen NNW wind.

Clearing up tomorrow by the looks of the met office forecast. @101_North I assume that's just in time for you to be heading home

Got home today as kids back at the pencils tomorrow! Was still raining when I got up this morning! About 36hrs of relentless, heavy rain. Horrible stuff. Sunday night's storms were good value though. Perth and that area has to have to been one of the wettest parts of the country! Glad I was there to witness it 🤬🤬🤣😂

Evening everyone.

I regret to have to pass on the news that we've learned the member known as Puffy MacCloud (David) died on Wednesday, with family by his side.

This perhaps won't come as a surprise, but it'll still be upsetting nonetheless.

We have no more information than that, and I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Very Sad news 😔, one of the wittiest posters on here, i always looked forward to reading his latest musings, condolences to his family, RIP Puffy,

RIP Puffy, may the weather where you are now always be exciting.

More than it was here today I'd hope, cold and miserable, with various intensities of rain. The dog walk this morning was back to long trousers, and not my thin summer ones either, jumper and goretex jacket.

Sorry to hear about Puffy! Always enjoyed his posts. Seemed to take everything he was dealing with a good dose of humour. R.I.P

Netweather has lost one of its 'characters'.   His humour was amazing considering his personal struggles.

Whenever I look up at the clouds Puffy, I will think of you.  RIP.

RIP Puffy

In 20 years living here I have a first.  Our water pressure has been down considerably over the past few days.  Admittedly based on nothing more than the cisterns taking much longer to fill, but very real.  We take from Black Esk Reservoir (as in Eskdalemuir) and I think this may also feed Dumfries?

RIP Puffy, hadn’t known you for long but ‘Tales from Ayrshire’ were a joy to read even with the tragic humour, something I could relate to! 😌

Yesterday was a cracker, 20.6c the high and very sunny. Did feel like late summer though

Today has been normal Scottish weather. Full cloud cover, 17c. Frequent Drizzle. Lovely, nice and refreshing after the heat.

Sorry to hear the sad news about Puffy, His posts were full of wit and humour.

Very sad news about Puffy, I'm sure wherever he is now he'll be giving more of that banter 😇
