Snow showers yesterday evening gave 1cm of lying snow by midnight but most of it has thawed during the early hours . There's been a short shower of rain and ice pellets in the last half hour but at the moment it's dry with sunny intervals and a temp' of 3.2c.

After an entire winter with only 1 day with the wind from a north or north easterly direction, and that was in early December, we enter March with N/NE winds on 4 of the first 5 days.

After a very pleasant, mild, bright day yesterday we're back to sludge and murk and rain today. 8.7 °C as things stand. The forecast looks better for a little while from tomorrow, at least.

Was hoping to complete my 'flat roof' today.

Was getting on well with the water proofing layer, when at 11:00 the first few drops fell.

Moderate rain by midday and consistently heavier all afternoon.

4.8 mms of rain has now washed all the waterproofing off again. But so far no leaks.!!!

I will have to wait till friday again now for the roof to dry out again, It needs to 'cure' for 6 hours  after application.

Wind getting up from the North west now as the low that formed over us, moves to the N East.

Great timing!! No rain here all week,.

Well, that was more like it! After the remnants of mist and cloud lifted early on, this was about as good as mid-March gets in these parts. Max of 14.5 °C, gentle breeze, pleasant sunshine. I did a lot of walking in my spare moments today and it was truly wonderful weather for it. Really made me feel optimistic about the spring ahead. Too much to hope for something on the level of 2020 I'm sure, but more days like today (gradually warming as the weeks go on) would be very welcome indeed!

Lovely day again here, getting some jobs done outside, cleaning windows and digging the veg patch over. I'm hoping to give the lawns a first cut later this afternoon.

Yeah, it's been really chilly. Sure today was always going to be a bit cool and cloudy, but here at least it's been entirely overcast all day and it's currently 8 °C, both considerably worse than the MetO regional text forecast - their "A fine morning, with plenty of sunshine across the region" has been proved completely wrong. I guess we might get a *little* bit of brightness later in the afternoon, but it's still disappointing.

On the plus side it does look likely to be better for the next few days, especially later on in the week. Chilly nights leading into warm, bright days is my idea of what spring should be all about. Let's hope it sticks to the script in reality!

not surprised with all that frost, much warmer often in Dec. Jan and Feb, those wet mornings where it can be close, if not over 10 degrees

I see a week that is going to be described in the forecast....

It looks to be dry with fine days ahead with plenty of sunshine

18C mostly sunny all day, can't ask for much more than that. I notice it's triggered some showers in the west of the region, not every year you see showers triggered by the heat in March

I’d love to see high teens regarding temps this week and next week a wintry outlook ( maybe even snowfall )

I’ve always loved our thing with our UK weather ...from one day to another to

Some places on earth are so standard and constant...same, same with how the forthcoming outcome is day after day...what a yawn!!!

Next week could be interesting

Aye, no lightning though with it, this setup in Jul to early Sept would be very hot! not sure we'd want it being realistic
