Well it rained heavily overnight, and again this morning, now just grey drizzle.

The River Nene has gone into strong stream advice do weve had quite a lot over the past few days.

Edited to add, the River Great Ouse warnings have just gone on too.

Grey today but colder.  High of 6.9•C today, a full degree lower than yesterday’s.

Missed out yesterday evening, just sleety rain but overall things still getting colder.

Yes I left my mothers earlier, around 4pm, the highlight was fog, now I’m at home with just mist and drizzle here.

How things change regarding the forecast with models, this time last week the output had us in a wintry wonderland today....instead;

Temp 6.9c ....dp 6.7c...humidity 99%

Well for now who cares , I’ve gotta nice tipple in front of me, a single malt

Well you didnt send any over here, not seen the sun for weeks it seems, and more grey cloudy damp or wet days to come.

The sun last came out here on Dec 20th lunch timeish for about 15 minutes between patches of thick fog....before that, 10 days maybe....

Absolutely Shi7e Winter, nothing even cold and frosty with sun on the horizon, never mind snow.

Can’t believe people actually like this mild garbage. Yet another hideous day.

Well we managed this yesterday afternoon, first almost sun in 3 weeks..

Back to cloud and wind today, all the rain to the North of us though.

I’m only posting this to pick up the lack of posts lately and the doom and gloom in our thread, and yes it’s very understandable as I’ve hit over 14c today...in Winter ...BUT hope is back with us,...please take my post with a pinch of salt though

If the GEM is right we’ll be more than happy as the 12z is showing please please.....okies...I know ...all we can do is hope

But for now...Happy New Year you lot....enjoy

Remarkably warm here too, though at 13.9 °C not in the league of the record-breakers further SW. Actually not too bad a day, even had some sunny spells at times. The local park even had a couple of people sitting on benches reading books, not something you normally see in December!

Even managed to do the weekly shop without a jacket this morning. Often in these mild periods, it still can feel a bit chilly if you're not covered, but not today. I'll happily settle for this thanks.

With GEM showing this yesterday evening,  I just thought I would post them charts for a bit of fun.....but could the GEM be on to something, and the update with GEM 0z as this Wintry outlook all week

If the GEM/GFS is still showing this come 12z.. I’m sure the rest will start to follow ….ATM it’s great we have something we can follow and it’s very interesting indeed

Tbf as much as I love Snow I'd prefer this mild weather anytime compared to an Easterley which deliveries bugger all around here.  If we are going have cold I want a good spell of the minus 15 we had in 2010 or a good 6 plus inches of Snow that lasts a week plus.

GFS dropped it, following EC and UKMO

This is regarding the op GFS, I know, these channel lows never seem to mature, they either open up or find their way into Northern France, in this case it’s both.....boooo

But the Ens Control has it differently and many of it’s members too.
