Nice dusting of snow here too. Missed it falling as was at work.

Many poor winters in the past have had these mini interludes just to cheer us up a little.

Fingers crossed we’ll have forgotten about this by April as much greater things have happened by then.

Nice little bonus this evening nonetheless.

18z ICON....snowfall for most up North but like what you can see in this chart, on every run I’ve started to notice the Midlands is starting to show its part in this, if only very brief ATM, also earlier the beeb mentioned the Midlands as well....just food for thought that’s all

Snowing properly at last but still struggling to stick- putting a slushy cover on the bins and cars but just making the paths wet. Although having less trouble round Birmingham again I see. Dare I think the ground is too warm after all those 12C nights and 2 weeks of constant cloud that it will need more heavy stuff than it might otherwise? And still the temp wont drop properly in the showers, though the dewpoint seems ok

You got it, Sunday the temps were forecasted during this week to be up and down and now there’s hardly any up to be noticed at all,

With tomorrow nights temps being forecasted to be very cold, Thursday could be interesting

Just had the first proper heavy snow shower after a few very light ones earlier. This one was blowing around in the breeze and gave a slight dusting on some surfaces.

Good snow shower here right now putting down another fresh layer.

No great amounts up here but a good covering. Best described as a heavy dusting maybe?!

Good Morning All!  No Snurr here overnight - it seems it peters out in Warks to our north.

-1.0C at dawn with a continuing bitterly nor-westerly. Presently just below freezing, we’ve now had 16 hours of frost and still that bitter nor-westerly.

At present occasional snow showers seem more likely than warmth.

So close to the warning area here in Alton, ST10.

We woke to a very light dusting of snow this morning leading to a very cold day out there.

Forecast is ever changing here from sleet, to snow to cold rain. I remain optimistic however as these smaller events tend to often throw up some surprises. Do we in the Midlands think that could be the case over the next few days?

Was interesting to see the differences driving back from Birmingham to Stourbridge this morning. City centre- none, and then driving through west birmingham (edgbaston and quinton) and there was a reasonable covering! pavements/cars all covered (although probably a distant memory by early afternoon), and much to my surprise there was very little up in the surrounding hills, which i expected to be whiteover, but i think the band was very limited in its reach.

Not expecting much in the coming days, but hey even a slight covering is a nice surprise at least.
