Starting to get a little bit of slush forming now. Can it build on that I wonder?

Just got back in , bumped into Dennis Quaid while out, he was asking for directions to the library. Just around the corner from me and at a slightly lower level it turned very sleety, the lying snow far slasher. Turned back home and it changed more to snow. Stopped briefly but snowing again now.

Was expecting it to turn to sleet/rain....

BUT the good news is that after it stopped for 10mins it has gone the other way and is now lovely medium sized snow flakes,

Showing signs of settling now.

Temp got to 2.8C but is now down to 2.2C with dew point slowly rising to just below 0C now..

Daughter just rang from Knowle and it is now also snowing there. Not expected byme, as it is lower than here.

No Snurr here yet, radar shows it already is!  Strong low level easterly seems to be holding the front at bay.

Still frost on the ground, just above freezing air temp +0.5

Front clearing here. Managed to stay as snow throughout. A good covering.

Scratch that. Precipitation pepping up on the back of the front so it’s still snowing lightly. No sign of the milder air yet.

Temperature is actually falling as the snow sets in.

It is now down to 1.7C and is still falling.

Snow is getting heavier by the minute.

Relative Humidity is now showing as 53%.

Anyone know the conversion to wet bulb temperatures?

Snow cover melting. Still snowing but it’s not heavy enough to prevent melt of the already lying snow.

DP finally gone above 0c and immediately any precipitation has turned more of a wet variety and expect a steady thaw of lying snow to set in but overall a lot better than expected.

moderate snow here yeah, with a few 10 to 15 min heavy bursts, all good.

roads tricky on tops again, no gritting on even though its -0.5 up there still, and icy.

I can see lorries getting stuck again on the A515

Just totally rain here, not a flake. Turns to snow as soon as it leaves Shropshire again, this winter is the pits so far

I hear you. 20 mins of lovely thick flakes of snow but its now heavy rain. May get some stilts for the old house  Nout worse than cold rain, urgh.

Well, it’s the heat of the day and no sign of the milder predominating. According to the radar we’ve had an hour of snow but as yet, not a flake.

Air temp now +1, still low level bitter easterly and yes, still frost on the lawn!

Still snow up here in Dudley, but I think we're hanging on by the slenderness of margins now.

Have to say, it's hung on for a lot longer than though.

I reckon by rush hour we'll be back to the more familiar damp and gloom that's dominated this winter.

But another sweet little interlude this week.

Just found a linksite that gives it to you...

https://www.weather.gov/epz/wxcalc_rh

My Rel Humidity must be wrong as it says that it is -6.5C DP, and Wet bulb of -1.5C   at the current temp now of 1.1C. It also asks for the current  barometric pressure.

Lawn and rooves now turning white, so could be correct..

Main precipitation clearing now and it looks like we're just going to hang on.

Not too shabby really.

However, I very much doubt we'll get as lucky with those heavy showers coming in behind.

As I say that, turning a bit more sleety as the precipitation gets lighter.

Still moderate snow here with a few cm cover, I have already heard reports of the odd lorry struggling and having to pull over on the A515 not far from me.
