Must say, this was a nice surprise today (so far, anyway). Thought may have been on the wrong side of marginal here. It is wet, but been snowing quite well for about an hour(ish) now!

Snow now stopped here after 5 mins of very large snow flakes, which gave a 1 cm covering.

Temp is 0.9C, but the RH has risen to 64%. This has caused the wet bulb temp to rise to -0.83C,  (DP still at -5C),

and sure enough it has turned back to drizzle.

Interesting to monitor the various elements of snow during transition.

MIA

Because you didn't get the same amount of snow as at matlock! Transitory accumulations at best. The atlitude is significant in that part of derbyshire. Sorry

And i'm telling you, i don't believe you! I'm sure you got a temporary covering, but i doubt it was quite at that Matlock level. And i'm not just talking about that one video, im talking about current conditions in that part of Derbyshire. Anyway, look, this is petty.

Between 90 and 203m apparently, but surrounded by hills of 3-400m easily. Also, a damn sight closer to hotspots in the peaks where its been carnage these past few hours.

Because we dont know where it's been posted from.... But we do know there's been significant disruption local to matlock and heading up towards Buxton.

but even at the top end of matlock its only 200metres     which was what you were replying to.   anyway  move from Stourbridge one of the worst places for snow in the BC
