Could we see something a little wintry once again this eve? Wind dir and temps aren't quite as favourable as last night, but you never know!

might happen, ppn on radar has once again clumped together (good phrase) as it passes over Peak District, for here I will need some intensity but up on the hills I am sure it could be snow again, might drive up to Ringinglow tomorrow morning, get some pics if its not to misty

Not quite as cold here last night.

Tuesday min -2.3C.   Last night min -1.1C

Still a very hard frost.

No fog though, although for the second morning running there has been clouds of 'steam' rising from the bottom wooden fence as the sun got to work on it.

Hi all, I hope you are keeping well! Unfortunately, the outlook remains pretty uninspiring from a snow perspective. With long-range models also providing little hope, I feel like I now need to start asking the question:
Could I (and I am sure many others) have recorded the most snow of the whole season, in November (27-28th) rather than Dec-Feb?
I would think that is pretty rare and certainly more uncommon than recording the most snow in March rather than Dec-Feb.

-3 again this morning looks foggy but too dark to see yet. Happy for it to be dry and frosty after flooding two years ago

I've already recorded 8 hours more sunshine in the first 13 days of January than in the whole of December. 25.8 hrs so far this month compared to 17.3 hrs in December.

I see some people in the south of the region are saying that they have had no frosts the last 3 nights.(in Hertfordshire)

Well I have (in Central Solihull),  and this morning it had a min of -2,8C.

That follows -2.4C and -1.0C.    However people to the North West seem to be cooler than this.

Anyone else see these milder nighttime temps?

This morning is one of those lovely mornings when the low level mist forms as the sun comes up. The other days have been clear and sunny throughout. My fence this morning is not contributing to any extra moisture, so it must have dried out a bit after the rains of earlier this week. I guess it all means that the air is beginning to gain more moisture now.

Hoping  for some holes of golf later when the frost clears.

Lovely weather - as it is slowly drying out the ground!!!

Although a shame about the snow.

All to do with the temperature inversion under the high pressure, warmer at higher levels than the surface (exemplified earlier this week by the fact high ground in the southwest was seeing temperatures some 4 to 5c HIGHER than those in the valleys! I guess this is causing such variation in the min temps recorded

I got home earlier to find frost still outside my house ( 12pm )

Now I’m at 7.5c at 3pm with lovely blue skies.

I wonder if we’ll get more wide spread Fog this evening and overnight, I used to love the days when it persists all day with a hoar frost

Been out for a few holes of golf.

Was lovely, but we packed in because it was getting much cooler earlier, this evening.

My fish ponds have iced again overnight, this time they have kept their layer of ice all day.

Its a good sign when the fish dont beg for food...

Had to laugh this morning MIA , I seen some golfers having a go in the fog, I thought how do you know where the bloody hell the ball has gone once you’ve gave it a slog, then again they were on the green ( potting practice methinks ) ...but brave they were in that freezing fog, they must love it that’s all can say
