Markedly colder this morning and I can now hear the wind starting to pick up.  Had some rain overnight.  Currently mostly cloudy but the sunnis trying to pike its nose through between the cloud.

Breezy and showery this morning, defo feels like autumn!!

It certainly does Don.

A perfectly aligned setup for the Midlands to see plenty of showers today.

Not much mention anywhere on this forum about Sunday's washout, looks a write off here between 10 to 4 daytime

Howling wind and horizontal rain continues here, but looks like easing in an hour or so. Proper Autumn weather..

Latest BBC forecast suggests the rain won't reach here, also fizzling out earlier too.

Hi all,

Long time reader/lurker on this forum. I thought I'd take the plunge and sign up and try and contribute my weather findings. Today in sunny Warwickshire, it is another glorious early Autumn day with less breeze than yesterday as well which will make the current conditions of 16C rising to the expected 18C feel warmer. A certainly marked difference from the very seasonal last week of September.

Went for a nice walk through Carding Mill Valley and over the Long Mynd this afternoon and the weather was very pleasant with no wind whatsoever!

Lovely spot.

I go on the Church Stretton Golf course a bit when I can.

From the top of there the whole of the vista is available,

Warm/humid, cloudy and windy until a squally heavy shower has come in and freshened things up alittle, still going on but fading.

Welcome to the MIdlands Forum..

Your photo/icon doesn't look like a midland football team!.

Just had the passing cold front through here also, -  its brighening up a bit now.

Was some of the heaviest rain I've seen for a while. Recorded 6.9mms in a half fhour spell.

Letus  hope we can report on heavy snow soon!

It is A Midlands team, but of the East variety which I'd rather not talk about right now lol. Yep rain completely eased off now, I think brighter skies will reach us too in the next hour. Feeling alot fresher
