Eeek a national emergency warning. Will they close school now??

OH finishes in a minute, in Wilts. Just chilling a bottle of San Miguel for her now.

It'll be interesting that's for sure. Don't mind the heat in the day, but night time temps staying in the 30s is something else.

I'm geuinely scared! I won't send them walking up a big hill in that to school. It's ridiculous!

Quite overcast here with the sun peeking through every now and then. Breezy, with the temp in the very low twenties. I'm sure last week's forecast had a heatwave for today?! Take the long range forecasts with a pinch of salt.

Peaked at 24.1°C here. It's turned windy now, and pegged the temperature back to 22.3°C.

23c Sun and cloud, although more cloud than sun.

Popped down to Bristol docks today, as the annual Harbour Festival about to start for the weekend. Boats are in but not much on today, so best day for lack of crowds. Had Fish n Chips at Salt n Malt, then over to Spoons for Thatchers and wine n soda for The Boss😎🍺.

Tomorrow and Sunday will be rammed with peeps, so rather avoid.

Popped a quick little 26.1°C at: 12:58, I'll say nothing more about people living inland that certainly have managed better than us. However, it's been really pleasant down here, compare today versus a 40c, I know what I'd be move comfortable with (and I've had both previously). Can only say WHEN the UK lurches to regular summer sessions of 45C, this ageing frame will no longer be around (fortunately..)

What’s that supposed to mean?

Boring content? Boring weather?

If the former join in because we all rub along well. If the latter that’s nobody’s fault!

Highest temp of the day just a few moments ago, 24.4°C. It coincided with a change in wind direction.

Oh Ok, sorry about that, so we didn't get deep snow, yes it's hot, yes we talk about what is going on, what have we missed that might make you a happier person and more prepared to engage in more than 1 post in 6 months?

A smidgen of cloud this morning to the north of us, rest of sky once again is clear blue.
Sun is very bright this morning.
16.2c at 5:30am.
Now, 20.7c, very light NNE wind.

No rain recorded since June 30th.

Most forecasts have us down for a max of 32c on Monday and 34c on Tuesday.
Looking like we are missing out on the 40c temps.

I used to live in Merrick Court and Perrett's Court, both very close to where this video is shot. I do miss the nice views of the harbour and the SS Great Britain.

Some showers off the SW coast of Cornwall currently. Not sure they were in the forecast? I doubt they will be strong enough to make landfall, but you never know.

Blue skies, 24c. Feels just about perfect.

Not really looking forward to the mid-high 30s in coming days, despite my frequent visits to normally warmer climes.
