Low of 17C last night after yet more unforecast drizzle hit many parts of England overnight. Off to a good start today though already 24C.

I trump your low of 17c with my max so far of 15c

Lovely day here in London.

This week has been a welcome treat, compared to the damp and unsettled/sometimes coolish weather of a few weeks ago.

The nights are turning quite warm for the first time this year, but I'm not knocking it. Nice long sunny evenings, with the longest daylight hours of the year. Nothing beats this.

Another dreadful Autumn day over here. Currently 14C, drizzle and 100% cloud cover. Miserable.

The models hint at winds from the North, North West and West for the foreseeable, so not hot weather for the next three weeks I wouldn't think.

Big hugs mate. That sucks bad

The gusty wind is nice and all… but it blew my McFlurry over (lost half of it). Not amused…

had an unusual storm last night that woke me up....never heard thunder like it..was really loud, booming and long lasting thunder that just kept going and going..normally you get lightning followed by a clap pf thunder..last night it was lightning followed by long drawn out booming thunder claps that just kept rolling and rumbling and was really loud

I feel for you guys in the north west, as much as we can moan in the south at least we do get decent weather way more often than you guys.  Hopefully an azores high comes and sits right over us all the whole summer with overnight thunderstorms and rain, we can all hope.

It's currently 31c here in Exeter with clear blue skies, I get to enjoy it in a few minutes when I finish work

You'd like it here, 24c and nice breeze, nothing like the heat inland.

Lots of people enjoying it here. Seen many out for a drink, kids playing in gardens and paddling pool. I am in Sheffield.

Slight difference, they aren't working, every person i've spoken to has been. Not one thought it was lovely weather, thats the difference. Was in Leeds, Barnsley, Chesterfield and Sheffield today

Scraped 25c yesterday.

It's been windy for weeks up here (barring yesterday) and that, along with the protracted lack of rainfall is giving me a real gardener's headache.

I work in an office with AC, so it don't bother me. That said I don't need the ac an open windows enough for me. If it was more than one day, maybe

You are one of the very lucky ones then, most have no a/c in this weather. Hence the dislike.

Look at all of these people on Bournemouth beach cursing the weather and having a terrible day!

You can count me in on that also. I'm drinking beer in the garden, day off, just dug up 30 beautiful garlic plants, and planted a load of seeds for my overwintering bed. Lovely breeze, 31c, low humidity, no cloud, absolutely perfect.

Everyone I bumped in to over the last few days has used the word "glorious"

I cannot argue with that!

I'm at work today, and wearing a suit, but its not bothering me.

I sat in the nearby gardens and had my lunch there. Granted, it was a little too hot for my lunch time walk, which usually involves a 3 mile walk round trip. Anything above 28-29c gets a bit tiring for a solid walk, but relaxing in the park or just a light stroll is ok.

I also happy the hot sunny weather is here, as it makes you feel better and lifts the mood.

Plenty of people are enjoying it, while London News are always making a big deal like its the end of the world, because there's a few days of plus 29c weather. Let us enjoy it please!

Just been on ma bicycle. Granted you're gonna get sweaty doing that today, but whizzing down a hill at speed felt quite refreshing in the already blowy weather. A refreshing cool breeze! Temp's taken a tumble from just hitting 30 now down to 27.

The Met Office's Facebook posts are getting more and more littered with chemtrail/HAARP nutcases of late. I do wonder if there's anything they can do about it. The problem is, if these people get censored, they just think it's a win for them that proves they are correct, but at the same time, their misinformation is dangerous and lures the easily-lead into joining their ranks. What a depressing catch-22
