Currently at Seaford in East Sussex and some pretty unreal lightning here on the seafront! I think I may be heading to birling gap shortly, there's shelter there if it gets bad!

First flash to the SW here

You must be seeing the storm flashing over near Bath then. Unfortunately looks like everything is on too much of a NE track rather than N to hit here, but may seem some distant flashes soon...

At Selsey beach and seeing lightning out to sea. If everything moves NNE I will be in for a treat.

Your dedication is admirable as ever buddy, so much respect, glad you've got to see some storms!

The cloud structure looks wow in the frequent flashes and now anvil crawlers as the storm is moving away to the NE.

If the storms can keep a NNE track, then there is hope for this area in a few hours maybe from those cells near Exeter.

Best show in at least three years, some absolutely stunning IC streaking across the sky. Had lightning from three different directions at one point. Could be tough to beat this year. Very happy and with the potential for more to kick off.

Lots of intra cloud lightning and quiet thunder, must be elevated but some beautiful forks seen on the back edge of these storms.

Not often we have a happy Alderc so this is quite something to see

Will these storms stay alive as they crawl north? They’re right on track to give us a good show

Possibly as the last Met Office Rainfall Forecast had a large area of convection developing over Derby at around 3am.

I really hope it does so I’m keeping my fingers crossed

I recorded 209 strikes from midnight to midnight - not too shabby!

Activity has increased again.

I hope this isn't my quota for the next 5 years?

Last time I saw lightning/heard thunder was about a year and a half a go now, so stop using my qouta up as well.
