Sorry but I am 15, just got to highlight this.

Anyway...

A lot of waiting involved in this situation as to what happens.

Let's hope it doesn't all go up in flames as soon as it hits that water

So, I am considering my first chase of 2022. And those of you that know me also know I am willing to risk long distances to an almost 'I think I need help' level ?‍♂️. This occasion is no different. I have Brighton in my head, I think around there may be a good call for this evening. However, not sure I can make it in time as I'm still at home in Belper (Derbyshire) some 4 hours drive away.

Thick cloud with almost frontal-like rainfall and an easterly wind across the south now. History tells us our storm chances are close to zero, unless you live in Kent!

We didn't get that rain, well an hour much earlier in the day may be.

The sea temperature has nothing to do with the storms we may or may not see. They would be from the 850mb level and unaffected by ssts.

Thanks @Allseasons-si. It's never a dead cert when chasing in the UK. Always a gamble.

Depending on what happens later, I may pop down to worthing pier [near brighton]

Don't anticipate anything on the level of June 2019.....but who knows these days

Very true and surprises also pop up without warning too,S channel islands popping off now

i think anywhere in this circle(clear sector on sat) has the chance to produce some good storms.
