Bit of a late decision to head South tonight and currently driving down M3 with OH. The sky is already being lit up beautifully from the West.

A definite line forming here

Then if the direction remains as shown all areas between the orange lines currently look to be in the firing line

Basically Yorkshire down to W Midlands on the western side and SE England on the eastern side with Kent missing out unless something else appears on the southern side of that line

I was heading south from Buckinghamshire to position myself, then decided I'm better off here and travelling east or west.

I might head down to Brighton and head back up as they move inland

That’s my main consideration. The back end of this thing could be beautiful

It will drift more eastwards imo but if you’re right it will make a lot of people very happy

I wasn't expecting that at all. Last time I looked at the radar it was all at the South Coast! Opened the back door to put bins out and there was a bright flash. A nice surprise

Felpham beach has a cracking view of incoming. Flashes every 30 seconds or less

Glad I made the trip down. ⚡

Not sure there will be any missing this for locations along this line and at least 50 miles east!

That super active line is going to miss me to my south so I’m hoping those infill storms can get going and the super active line doesn’t hog all the juice
