Significant severe weather event expected later tonight with all hazards (Tornadoes, Softball to DVD sized hail and 80+ mph winds) expected

Tor threat an interesting one here, while initially low due to weak LLJ if a cell can remain discrete and track close to the Red River Valley region along the boundary after sunset i can't rule out an EF2+

Latest HRRR has really upped the tor threat the past 3 runs, maybe sensing something? 

All dependent on whether the storms can remain surface based after dark as the low level inversion builds in.

Sounding from 03z around the Denton, Texas area. Notice the inversion building in, will have to see if storms can drill through this. IMO -44 of MLCINH is weak enough for a powerful supercell to do so, but we'll have to watch as the night goes on. Even if tor threat doesnt materialise 90 mph wind driven softball sized hail isn't something you'd wanna be outside in.

In terms of surface obs, looks like all models were running a little bit dry (even NAM) latest RTMA shows 80 dews approaching red river area, however further north in central Oklahoma higher surface temps have mixed out dewpoints, likely OKC will avoid any tor threat due to this.
