Hoping that garbage on the models don't materialise. Low pressure can go do one til late October lol.

I read that as spring of depression at first. Could be just as appropriate I guess.

The Today is giving me flashbacks to last month, dull nothingness all day.

Another pretty non-descript and cool, unremarkable day. Nothing interesting particularly on the horizon either. At least it should be drier

I'm around 12 stone I think (do not own any scales!) but I'm only 5ft 7ins tall, so hardly underweight!!

I'm almost 11 stone now, been going gym and trying to eat more food to bulk up. Around 14 months ago I was only at 9 stone but have packed some muscle and feel much better!

End goal would be somewhere close to 13 stone in a few years time.

Listening to Louise L talking of 'East has been best' on the R4 forecast last night. I wondered what planet the Beeb were operating from. I'm trying to dry out my clothes from yesterday' s continuous rain in N Yorkshire. Some levelling-up is clearly needed at the Beeb! ☹️

Yep. But you can forgive them becoz they don’t live on the same planet as us🤣🤣🤣

Jesus what are the models sniffing out for next week? Full on winter storm, last time I looked 18-20C seemed likely. Seems like getting any proper warmth in is going to be a real battle this spring.

I initially thought we were in for another long dry spell, but it's now looking like the next couple of weeks are going to be more mixed.

What the models are forecasting is certainly nothing out of the ordinary for April. I am hoping there will be some warm days soon though, although I suppose there's plenty of time yet.

I don't mind changeable for the next couple weeks as I can fill up my 2 x 200 litre water butts before it starts to properly warm up as long as some nice sunny days in between 🙂  At least some of us have some decent weather to look forward to over the most of the bank holiday weekend.

Where were charts like that in winter?  I think we had like one run of the mill gale the whole season down here?  Latest gfs seems to have backed away from anything as severe, albeit still possibly a windy day

Yep, a very slow start! Hopefully not a sign of things to come.

She missed out south, it was sunny all day yesterday down here, rain over night, quite light, dry with cloud this morning, sun trying to poke through now.

6.6mm today which takes the month up to 13.4mm. That in itself is unremarkable except it is more rainfall than April 2020 (6.6mm), 2021 (2.4mm) and 2022 (4.0mm) put together!

10 of the last 16 Aprils have had less than 50% of average rainfall here. This month does not look like it will join them as we're already on 28% 6 days in.

After the rain had cleared it left a beautiful sunset on the Yorkshire Wolds!
