Thunderstorm rolling in with some pretty frequent thunder. First storm since October. Pretty active year for storms compared to recently.

Saw the flash and heard the thunder sounds just I was waking up just before midday. A bit wired about a winter thunderstorm forming today.

Just had a massive flash and bang here. Almost like a Flashbang (without the immediate bang) it was so bright!

Surprise December rumble in Bromley!

Crikey December Thunder in mine and my Wife's home Town.

'Er indoors actually also reported a rumble here in Lee, around the same time.

I wonder if LASSIE23  has a D.T.I. [December Thunder Index], and if it has any correlation to a Snowy Winter?

Ironically as that Thunder was rumbling I was posting about a Thunder Snow event in the early hours of Christmas Morning 1970. when I lived with my Parents, in Bromley.

Just the one rumble in the shower that’s just passed over but a decent amount of hail came from it.

Several bursts of low thundery grumbling here. I originally thought it was my wife. Torrential rain also.

Literally looking down the top edge of the storm system from my window. Just about avoided it.

Storms love that path from Berks/Hants through NW London/Herts. Must be a clever reason for it.....

About 15 minutes ago, we had the loudest crack of Thunder here in Lee, that I've heard in a very long time.

Very dark skies made it easy to see the bright white lightning 🌩️ strike followed by loud crack and long rumble of thunder 😁

A few showers moving about but nothing thundery around here. Looks like parts of London have managed a storm, decent going for mid December!

just remembering the supercell storm in my hometown in 2012.  it was rough! I think it was the same storm that dropped almost cricket ball sized hail on Hinckley. For years afterwards you could see dented cars driving around!

There was flooding too, but what makes this weird is that this video is filmed at the top of a hill!
