Blackpool-Temp about 8 degrees been down the prom a few times today plenty of people are about.

Not like yesterday when everything was blowing about.

Arrived home about 3 pm thought i would take a photo of these clouds.

Just caught my eye i cannot say why.

My neighbour was waiting for something to descend from them he was practicing greetings to alien forces.

Gets a little strange round here at times.

I hope the photos explain if not i will pop back the next time after improving my photo-taking skills.

Bye,may the force be with you all.

Going to be an evening of heavy showers by the looks of the radar. First of which moving through here already some gusty winds a potential too later on. Undecided on what could be in store in the run up to Xmas but something seasonal and dry would be my wish if we can’t have snow.

It looks like Fergus won't be as 'potent' as Elin but could prove to be a headache overnight due to the threat of gales switching from yesterday's NWly to this evening's SW'ly, this switch in direction will provide a bit of extra stress on tree's already compromised due to Elin and adding in the water-saturated ground I wouldn't be too surprised if there's more tree's downed by this event than yesterdays.

With that being said, at least it's a Sunday night and the majority of people will be tucked up in bed.

Weather's been a little kinder today, a little rain earlier on and then a quiet window for a few hours before the dying last rites of Storm Fergus piles in the heavy showers into late evening.

Thankfully after a few unsettled days to open next week it looks like calming down towards the weekend with the lesser spotted High Pressure nearby.... and that's as far as I'm looking for now.

Good heavens. Thanks for letting me know what they were called.I am quite pleased that a tornado did not appear it was bad enough being caught

in a dust devil a few years ago.

I believe a tornado hit a part of Ireland today.

I have just been watching Coutryfiles 5-day weather forecast and they opened with a picture of these clouds taken a few miles down the road in Fleetwood.

I missed what he said about them it was a little noisy in the house at the time.

But thanks for the info, I thought the clouds were a little strange-looking.

Thanks again for the info.

Take care out there times are changing, as the oceans warm goodness knows what may head our way in the future.

Will Tornadoes become more common in Great Britain?

I have to admit I am not knowledgeable on such things just wondering.

Feel I will keep my camera near me this winter, seen many strange things in the sky and cloud formations when walking the shoreline which i do most days.

Worth looking at the rain radar, you can clearly see the centre of low pressure in our region.

Yes, I remember this well. I was on duty at LGW and think 60F was reached down there with persistent cloud and drizzle. Think the cloud level almost hit the deck and some British Caledonian flights cancelled. If correct I think the rest of the winter became much colder , especially in Feb 79 ?

Some really gusty winds during the night here, some proper window creaking gusts. It didn't seem all that different to the evening before in terms of strength. Much calmer this morning.
