Dear Santa

I have been a good weather boy all year. Can you please be kind and deliver this for Christmas.

Regards Kevin

Remember 2004 when manc got 3 inches on Christmas day night? Covering 2010 but didn't snow. Think there was one when I was a kid. Mid late 70s

Next few days looking far from pleasant so the less said about them the better. Looks like quite a strong signal for very high pressure though later on GFS.

in other news Crosby SST is down to 8.9°C which is 0.8°C below the average but not below the long-term minimum for December.

I was just looking back to last Saturday and thinking how much fun I had on here. Feel like I posted about 100 times and the craic in here was amazing. Here's to many more days like that. 🍻

Alot of the roads round here had a fair bit of standing water from the drains being blocked from the rain yesterday and nothing being done to clean up the Autumn leaves on the ground, shame the wind & rain has forced away the cold for now

Yep still early in the month so the fact we are below the average already considering it will be at its coldest for the month at New Year is impressive.

Heavy rain here, although a good chance it may dry up a bit by late morning and then attention turns to the wind as we head through the afternoon.

A colder spell does seem to have some mileage towards the end of the year. If that does happen, it would be nice if that change could shift a few days earlier to coincide with Christmas.

Tipping down currently and 7.6°C.  A bit breezy but no winds to note just yet. Off to do mums shopping in a little while, I've plenty of jobs to keep me inside today. 😁🌬

Looks like the forecasters got the timing of the rain spot on.

Started here about an hour ago and it’s hammering it down now so the next few hours at least look grim.

hopefully it will clear through to give a drier period this afternoon but it’s interesting to see that we have got a buy one, get one free offer on yellow warnings today with both wind strength and rain amounts looking to be an issue as the day goes on.

Just hope we can get this grot out of the way and the models come good with something colder and more seasonal as we reach Christmas🤞

Rain has cleared through here now after a wet few hours. Just a gentle breeze at the moment

Horrid getting mums shopping earlier, got soaked, I count my blessings though that I still have my almost 86 year old beautiful  mum to look after.  Pockets of brighter sky trying it's best to break through now.

Off on Woodhead in 20 minutes… then m1 down to Luton… hopefully rain has cleared through now and will be ahead of the winds this afternoon… hopefully on our return high pressure will be making its presence known and drier cooler weather to attempt sorting out our garden 🙈🙈
