Looks like the top temperature over the weekend was 21.8c in Essex:

Saturday was warmer than average, but the weather is expected to get colder during the next week.

Briefly recorded 12.8mm/hr during the squall line that just went through down here. Highest I've seen my station show so far

There was an F5 here this morning, F5 being a fresh breeze on the Beaufort scale.

SunSean Not even a wisp of grey!

You're currently missing out on intermittent hailstones in Essex, joyous.

We legitimately need weeks without any rain whatsoever to sort things out, which just isn't going to happen, because we live in the UK.

Be careful what you wish for and everything...

Today feels like a classic April showers day here. A pretty brisk wind but plenty of sunshine as the showers have eased off recently. A tad on the chilly side.

Its very blustery today but after the early rain which was short and brief, its turned into a nice sunny day, not been this sunny in a long while!

Much clearer skies here, as is often the case with winds from a northerly quadrant.  A bit of fair weather cloud floating about but plenty of clear sunshine.  None of this hazy crap of recent days.

Only niggle is the breeze is a bit nippy, taking the edge of the suns warmth.  However, get out the breeze, into some shelter & it’s fine.

SunnyG Doesn't look it on BBC weather to me. Just more cloud and 13c so that is what I shall expect.

It's actually a nice day that feels like Spring for a change! I can see blue! I can honestly say I've not seen blue in weeks! Haze yes but that covers up blue. Ok it's still cloudy half but I'm trying to be positive here. We aren't allowed pure blue skies in Winchester!!

Good grief Seville, I've never experienced humidity like this 😂 30c but humidity is unreal, no breeze and genuinely feels like 50c! Sweating more than Phil Mitchell in a brewery. I think I finally understand the heat haters now if this is how they feel things 😂 Even I'm struggling with this haha. The pirates have even come ashore!

SunSean yep that’s how someone with a lowish heat tolerance will feel here in the UK when it’s hot.

You feel like you can’t escape it and it’s made even worse when you have no aircon in your home.

No need to be careful about desiring a good few weeks of properly dry weather! The ground is a sponge.

Where on Earth has this wind come from? We've just had a gust of 47mph which is actually the highest April gust in this neck of the woods since 2002. Its consistently 30-40mph aswell.

Apart from that its a classic sunshine and showers day, albeit a bit chilly.

SunSea I’m in Gran Canaria as I needed to get as far south as possible quickly and have a no brain needed warm up. The hardiness of us people in the British isle’s isn’t recognised enough. Should be a UN agency offering some sort of relief 8 months of the year. And 21 degrees for a day in Romford doesn’t cut it as recompense 😂
