    Ok well I would love to be wrong. It's not a case of wanting to be right that it will be an awful summer it just looks that way Infact I would love to be wrong as that would mean better weather!

    I have a great degree of faith in the front or back loaded summer philosophy I tend to be more biased though when I see May and June written off as those are prime storm/plume months from experience. Writing off summer I agree shouldn't really be done until August is out of the way. I'd be interested to know why the 00z/06z flipped so much as only 4 or 5 days out - it's more a positive on a reflection that it can change at such short notice. It could change for the better again short notice.

    Yes a lot of rain , this could be one of the worst summers we have had since 2012. It could even beat 2012 for rubbish weather

    Sadly as I thought the 00z was an error. Looked fantastic too !

    The shift on the 00z was too quick for better weather. I don't trust that blip, I think the 06z will move back to the original projection. Might be wrong but will be interesting to see.

    Also France unusually are having pretty crappy cool weather too.

    If the high pressure can get established and erode that cold pool we might be in business. The pattern shows that whenever the cold pool dies out another injection beefs it up again from the north/north west. Holland eastwards look like the best place to be for a summer this year.

    I think it's improving by the looks of it, warming up from 11c to as much as 15c into late June

    That would be nice but completely useless when it comes to August/September as the nights will have drawn in a lot more.

    The 18z certainly all over the place and confused about 12th onwards, could be plume heat or slow warm up keeps flipping between them. Sadly 18z delivers no established plume just flirting glances of heat over the channel that nearly make it but don't. Pattern is locked in by the looks

    That's actually good because Europe has cool northern flow and there is high coming in to our west. We need Europe to have cool sh*tty weather = helps us longer term.

    1976 actually did something similar in late May/early June. It was all a bit Meh then locked into a pattern of heat.

    Back where we started. 2 weeks from now we end up back at today.

    Summer 2019 Terminated. I don't think the models know how to handle the plume situation, they never do.

    Be cautious, look how much it varies from 00z to 06z The 00z was actually better in a way as it builds heat slow rather than flash in pan 1 day affairs

    Serious heat over in France 40C possible Looks like the models are shifting the plume a week earlier again, there will be a plume of some description but when is the question.

    Yeah, taking it with pinch of salt it does look really good. But it also looked really good for now 10 days ago.
