  1. Yes, after 4 years of living with certain annoying things we are finally fixing them just to leave

Good luck with the decorating/selling. If you want a tip, go online and look at some of the houses for sale. Look at the pictures and see what turns you off i.e. lots of books on the shelves, nasty duvet covers

I've seen some houses that look really good but the furniture and decoration :o

p.s. Definately rent Finding Neverland but have a tissue handy for certain parts B)

  2. Poor old you :(

When I went for my first scan for Milo I had been instructed that if you wanted a picture you had to say beforehand

So as the woman starts I said "can I have a picture please"

She then said "we have to see if there is anything there first" :o

I was really upset thinking it was now all my imagination

Good thing is that you are going to have another peek at Mini Roo :D

  3. It must be really scary to think...if I'd been working today

Be thankful that you and your work coleagues are ok and spare thoughts for the poor innocents that were not so lucky :(

Most of all though, look after yourself and don't get too upset, it's not good for Mini Roo :)

  4. Thanks Harriet

The business will be in Andoversford, so we will be looking Cheltenham type area

Hubbie's boss has already said that if you draw a line between Gloucester and Cheltenham, then the not so nice bit is on the left and the better area is on the right

I will be nice to be able to explore Wales, which I've always wanted to do but was a bit too far :( plus Cornwall and Devon

  5. Where I used to work got burgled and they took my computer and up ended my desk, it was horrible :(

I got in to find all my papers strewn across the floor, with my desk on it's side. The only thing still in it's place was my little Sean the sheep stuck onto my desk with bluetak. The police wanted to question him but he said he slept through the whole thing :D

  6. Oh katie :(

I haven't had to deal with losing a parent yet, so I can only imagine the sorrow and grief, just wanted to send you a big cyber hug, and to let you know I'm thinking about you ((((((((HUGS))))))))

    Awww thanks Sue :)

It's been over 10 years since my dad died but it brings it all back to me hearing about my friends dad.

It also upsets me to think he never saw his grandson, who he would have been so proud of.

But he is always in my thoughts and I will tell my son what a wonderful person he was

  7. The night continued the 'disappointing' theme until around midnight, because there was nobody friendly around.  This dramatically changed at midnight when I came across an exceptionally friendly crowd out of nowhere, had a great time, and then went to bed at 4.45am!

There were some spectacular early-morning cloud effects that I photographed with my digital camera that I thought was bust... so far, still working!

I had very little alcohol, and so don't have to suffer any hangovers today- just as well, because the Lonsdale College Extrav (scheduled for tonight) is usually the best one of all in my experience.  Excess alcohol doesn't agree with me- I prefer to drink in moderation!

Also, Leeds have just sent an email suggesting they are still interested in me, so the chance hasn't gone yet.

Excellent news about Leeds - fingers crossed :D

  8. don't know if it's a him or her...keep wanting to say him, but then again, saying it, he/she, etc, etc is getting a bit wearing....

but it is odd, cos I didn't think to say 'she'...is this a sign?    ;)   :D

Hubbie always said I was having a girl but it was a boy in the end

  9. Oh thanks guys :)

Feeling heaps better having caught up on some sleep.

Having said that I managed to have a mega panic that I had lost my new tax disc. I ended up on the phone to hubbie in tears :(

I was annoyed that I had lost it but more annoyed that I would have to go to Thornaby in Stockton on Tees to get a replacement. I would be lucky to have any wheels left if I went up there

Eventually I found it in my jacket pocket

  10. Glad to hear you are enjoying your free time, hubbie took his exam yesterday but still has assignments to do by next week - then freedom for the summer :D

It's about time, I'm starting to feel like a one parent family at times

I agree with you about the Government's plans regarding pay as you drive. If you live out in Rural areas like me, you have no choice but to use your car.

I choose to drive a car with low emmissions and get a small benefit from the government with lower car tax and insurance but what about the mothers with their 4 x 4s in urban areas doing 2 miles on the school run. They will not be affected by the pay as you drive but will be causing lots of polution.

Oh well, I don't see it happening, at least not in a long while

  11. Wow - it's sooooooo exciting all these scan piccies

I found it made it feel really real seeing the pictures of Milo for the first time (even if he did look a little bit like an Alien  )

Hopefully you will start to feel some movements soon, that's really nice but I little bit strange to start with

  12. Well this morning he was ok, ate some breakfast and went to the childminders (bit later than usual)

Got a phone call at 2.30pm to say his temp had shot up again.

Took him to the doctors, expecting her to say "oh yes it's chickenpox" (childminder's son has just had it) but she reckons toncillitus :(

So antibiotics and floppy son again :(

He had perked up a bit by bedtime, so fingers crossed :)

  13. It's really strange when you feel a movement, pretty soon you will get some really good little kicks and that's when it all felt very scary in a "you really are having a baby" kind of way

    It's really nice though :D

Hopefully you are starting to "bloom" now and enjoying the excuse to eat loads etc

  14. Ah revision...the time when my cooker was always clean, lawn mowed etc, etc :D

All of a sudden you find yourself compelled to clean the house or any other thing except study.

Thankfully I have had my share of studying but hubbie is revising for his MBA (at Durham University) so I know the pressures/distractions you face.

Good luck with your exams and I agree that 6 hour "studying" does not work and having rewards like "a night off and going to the pub" are the best way to get effective study time B)

  15. Oooh poor you! I hate dentists. have to go in June to have wisdom teeth out, they are impacted and every so often a lump falls off! crunchy! also the rooms are tiny and I am claustrophobic so they leave the door open    at least I get to wave at the other patients as they go past

I don't have any wisdom teeth (it speaks volumes  )

I had a really bad experience a few years back with a new dentist that has now left me a bit shaky about going but the current dentist is good. I had to go private but it's on that Denplan thing where you pay twenty quid a month and nothing else. No bad if I have to have a bridge as that would cost tons.

Also, when I was 5 I got my front teeth knocked out on the Dodgems and they didn't grow new ones for a couple of years - hence I don't like smiling as a rule (except when there is a large glass of wine in front of me  )
