a very well presented forecast I thought, plenty of synoptic charts and emphasis on the major change by Thursday-Friday to much colder northerlies.

Great forecast. Great Detail, well balanced. And yes they are very sure by the sounds of it that we will be seeing alot of wintery weather :)

He called it "The Viking Northerly" ;)

Good Forecast indeed and no mention of the uncertainty.

i was rather surprised that the uncertainty wasnt mentioned. it was a very emphatic forecast. looks snowy for the usual suspects in a northerly. mostly dry and frosty for most, unless the odd trough is factored in

Was a convincing forecast. I wonder if the Net-weather week ahead forecast will be as convincing when its issued later on?

Good to see a confident forecast for once, none of the usual uncertainty which the BBC in recent months have attached to the countryfile forecasts from thursday onwards.

Countryfile has always forecast up to the following Friday, ever since the mid 1990s at least.

Pleased to see that the Countryfile forecasts are currently right up there with the regular forecasts prior to the change of graphics as far as detail and presentation are concerned. Perhaps the BBC expect those who watch Countryfile to take some interest in the weather and have some understanding of it!

Good forcast with lots of detail for the whole week. Seemed very confident of some colder weather later on in the week. (Only time will tell.) :good:

An interesting forecast today. Becoming a little milder by Thursday before "changes start taking place"...I got the impression they are not sure what is going to happen after Thursday with the positioning of the omega set up and how much it will influence the passage of the cold outbreak from the North ie if it will end up flooding across the UK or the Atlantic...still all to play for at this stage me thinks...

So how disappointed are you with todays Countryfile forecast?? or did it fill you with cheer?

A cautious forecast from Kirsty. Cold and wintry was the theme. Prospect of snowfall in the North Midlands and North of England and more restricted to Scotland later in the week. Less cold by Thursday/ Friday with more wind, however fairly vague. Not be be blamed really. A diifficult forecast to make.
