I could be wrong but I reckon that thing grew over the hill here and exploded into action and died when it went across the valley..flat land

Yes they are showing on the radar as convective small cells which build in 10 mins, die, then build. very rapid development

At their present rate of travel they will be here in 90 minutes :D

Guernsey has them as 2 weak and 1 moderate up to now

Regards,

Russ

Are you staying up then Russ as it is looking promising for you and looks very likely

Yes I will wait and see what happens, I certainly shan't need to get up early, all I would do is make a mess in the mud with me tractor :D

The earlier storms perhaps give a hint as to what we may be in for, IE the lightning was the sudden very loud explosion that scares the living daylights out of everybody sort :)

All that ground Laval mist I saw was interesting as well, I reckon its an indicator of just how wet its going to be.

There was much more mist than is usual even if the rain was falling on tarmac that had had full sun on it all day, which it had not...

Regards,

Russ
