I think the south and south east could have a second wave later on...the mass currently south of Caen is merging with other cells and moving N-NE (is this main rain event?). Of course it could divert straight up the Channel again but it does seem to placed more west than the first current wave. I'm still getting rumbles and the odd flash to my east...

The trough to the west of France has all but fizzled out...still a bit near the Channel Islands

Very interesting thank you John.

Lets hope the rain misses the at risk areas :)

The occasional thunder has stopped here so has the rain for now.

The large mass just approaching the D Day beaches looks pretty intense. Just seen the meto sat' its growing pretty fast...

Regards,

Russ

Hi Brian

Yes I have the camera - some good strikes coming in now increasingly, with louder cracks of thunder. I'm going to go offline soon and try and take a few lightning shots before I go to bed

:)

Tamara

Hi Tamara :)

Excellent I will look forward to seeing those pics if you upload them. I hope you are able to hold the camera steady

if a tornado develops. :)

Anyway have fun and hope you get some great action tonight and take care too.

Brian :)

Thanks Brian :) I think I still have the instructions how to use it. I've never taken photo's of lightning before :)

More lightning now appearing in the distance to follow the current batch which is quite close now - heavy rain started.Good stuff, no rotation yet.

Tamara

Hurry up and read the insructions Tamara before the storm passes over :)
