Good Evening All

From A Dry but very Cold Northwich.Had a Few Snow Showers Earlier with a very

Slight covering on the Car and Garden.

Question For SP

The Main Event Mon Evening From The SE

Do You Think it Will Affect us.I am only asking because looking on The BBC website it seems

To Miss us and Slide To The East of us.What do you Think SP.

It Would be nice Just for Once for NW England to take a Battering From some nice

Snowy Weather.

almost clear skies here at present although a few flakes are still coming from what bit of cloud is around

slight covering on the ground and cars; nothing more than a centimetre at the most.

temperature is now at -3c.

expecting more snow from the next batch of showers currently appearing over eastern England.

still think that we will wake up to a decent covering in the morning with the prospect of a rapid deterioration in road conditions later on Monday as the frontal system reaches the Pennines and then North West England in general.

certainly an interesting few days coming up.

Rather off topic i think, but isn't it amazing how splitting the forums into regional threads has shown up the fact that the vast majority of people who post on NW live Midlands southwards.

quiet on here considering what may lie ahead in the next 24 hours.

I think it's reflective of the population to be honest , the majority of people in the British isles live in the midlands and to the south

Yes I do think it'll reach our region, however it will probably have started to fragment by the time it reaches here, but any snow that occurs may be heavy and persistent, and will probably leave a covering. Cheshire, Greater Manchester, and eastern Lancashire will most likely recieve the snow. Merseyside and western Lancashire I feel is more touch and go but even here there could be some settling.

The nw radar shows how the majority of more developed shower activity is yet to come this way - still east of the evil Pennines! I reckon as has been said between 9pm and 10pm should see things get interesting - IF the hills don't fragment everything. By the way, I can so recommend netweather's radar - with 5 min updates and zoom-ins to your postcode, what more could you want at a time like this? No, I'm not an agent!

excpt for you have to pay for that service snowdrifter

But it's worth it though, if you don't have much money you could get just 1 month which is only £3.49

Nothing against Netweather radar, I have purchased it in the past and it is well worth the money, but I find this one decent enough and it updates every 15mins aswell. http://www.raintoday.co.uk/

It was probably an earlier report from the last area of showers that went through, nothing showing up on the radar yet. That next band of showers to the east are not too far away though.
