What's considered a fair place to measure from to gauge the true depth as obviously it's not even all over?

What are your thoughts on the main band steve? beeb seem to suggest 5-10cm, with more over the pennines.

Shows it moving in through the SE up the east coast before taking a more westerly route where im hoping i get a decent covering here in the West mids.

Top of a table or bin lid maybe :o

Your do well as long as you get the PPN-

the dewpoints rise up on the NE coast inline with the Curvature of the isobars-

I was speaking to Nick F Who has access to the METO Meso & it appeared to be 4 hours of 4mm per hour rates which is ~ 15 cm-

If that was all snow that would push me close to 30cms of snow.......

Then the hook back from the SW- lol

Heavy snow here again- Measured 5 inches at 515 am- So we are offf to the races for 6 inches-

Oh! My! God!

I have just woken up to an amazing scene - we have about half a foot of the stuff! ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!

THE RADAR LOOKS EVEN BETTER THAN IT DID AT MIDNIGHT!

Last update from me everyone is getting the hump with me so no more posts although i would love to still blizzards here :)

Maybe if you stopped typing in a large font as you were asked to by the mods then things might be a bit calmer?

I am near your area and am also very excited but others who are less fortunate don't really want to see giant posts every now and then shouting about how much snow you have.

Currently bucket-loads of snow to my south just passing my location. I'd imagine there might be 12-15cm down there with about 10cm here. Had I not been so unlucky it could have been more :) STILL, NOT ONE TO BE GREEDY! :)

HOLY CRAP

The last time I saw those snow depths at low level was back in Feb 1991 and I still had to walk to school in it. Fantastic streamer you've got there and a lot more generated than I initially thought when looking at the synoptics.
