Snow Watch: Cymru And South West England

My school in Cardiff has been closed since 12pm yesterday lol. We all went home and told to stay home tommorow morning.

Step dad just phoned, Barry getting some bad snow! his words were "If it keeps snowing like this for another hour i won't get home, thats how bad it is"

Not at work today, Snow day called with my college being shut. Plenty of snow lying around the Fowey/St Austell area of Cornwall; good times

Still snowing very heavy and persistent can't believe the amount of snow thats falling is it something to do with pepping up over the sea? How long are these forecast to fall like this? All day?

extremely heavy snow in Cardiff at the moment adding to the already 5inches of snow on the ground.

Maybe..well untill midday i would think, this low is spinning round and stalling at times, so its not moving anywhere soon and picking moisture up from the sea

Winds are already swinging to the SW and the temp here is just -0.4C, so it will gradually turn to rain at lower levels as the day moves on me thinks. That said, just saw a cracking forecast for down here on Thursday!

Snow stopped and sun out in north devon now . Going by accuweather says more snow at 11am but they where wrong with the time on the snow just gone.

This could turn out to be very nasty then ? With potential deep deep snow ye?

Well if till midday the ammount of snow at the moment wil not thaw too soon i can tell you that much.

Tis ashame we didn't get anything else over night. Just wern't in the right position for a heavy amount, perhaps that low will swing round and go straight through to us in North Bristol (I can live in hope!)

Awesome! We got 4-5 inches from last nights snow, it snowed here continious from 1:40pm till 9pm, never ever seen anything like it.

Well, having attempted to get the car out, Ive given up... it spent most of its time sliding backwards, or at best going no where... and its snowing again

I Live in the Beacons and snow is common but i have never ever seen snow this heavy in my lifetimm nor deep

You must be getting the snow we had in north devon like a hour ago in south wales.
