They got this week pretty much spot on, I seem to remember them calling a snowy week, and its not been far off.

Just been watching the BBC news 24 weather, a "Winter Storm" on the way, 40-50mph gusts and blizzard conditions, across much of wales, higher ground of southwest england and much of SE england! If this pulls off i will eat my computer!!!!!!!!!!!

Much prefer normal chips, not silicon ones, but each to their own. :D

Nervously waits for Countryfile.

True enough, but who needs details; I'd settle for "there is a chance of some sunshine this week, in between showers of rain or snow with the wind blowing from one direction or the other"

Fence sitting is an art ya know!

Awaiting Countrty file lol Snow hasn't melted at all today despite te sparadik burst of rain/sleet and snow, As the precip gets heavier its snow when its moderate its sleet when its light its drizzle. Not expecting much of a thaw tbh.

Tomorrow now looking very interesting and yes

Weather forum or not I am Welsh and Rugby mad so

Dewch ymlaen Cymru curwch yr Alban - Cymru am Byth

Don't get too excited yet lol, fair enough if it's the same tomorrow.

I'll echo those sentiments. I live about 100M ASL in Carmarthenshire and even last Tuesday's dump of 5 inches was borderline - temps are now a degree or so higher than they were then and, for south Wales, I just can't see it happeneing on a widespread basis, if at all. Some favoured locations in south Wales may get some lying snow, but I think the 'best' that people can hope for is snow that simply won't stick/pitch/settle and, more likely than that, sleet or rain.

Now if the temp was a degree or two lower then I'd be far more optimistic, but looking at the charts (which of course are very variable!) I just can't see any major whiteout conditions here.

Perhaps if the precipitation is heavy then that will drop the temp enough, but that will just give the kind of snow that melts as soon as the precipitation ceases.

Give me 'proper' sub-zero temps instead of this borderline nonsense. Far easier to forecast AND 'better' snow. :D

Country file forecast was spot on for this week just gone. They had all the snow for us forecast right. I have great faith in their forecast.

*waits with baited breath*

Well, I have to say that I'm getting a bit excited about the possibility of some snow in the next 48 hrs after the Country File forecast

Winter storm then, hey?!?

It has to be better than the snowless day I had on Friday, though it does look like it might be a bit hit and miss here with the chance that it may only be rain.

snow here on Monday night according to Countryfile and over much of South Wales , but the detail was not that great, and has hand was over Wales for much of the time.

Northern track very much as per the UKMO 00Hz run, staying dry over North Wales.

WINTER STORM was forecast though.

Currently snowing again here , but very light.

Well i've never heard the Weather refer to something as a Severe winter Storm, This could be very interesting for this part of Wales for Most Wales. High snowfall accumilations looks likely
