BTW.....we still have snow here with the roofs partly covered and a few inches over my lawn....

Still a nice thick covering.

The main roads are clear but the side roads are still full of Ice and bits of snow left over...

Last photo to be shown, unless we get more over the coming week.

this was taken today, and shows the effect of shade, with plenty of snow on the grass but less on the roads, this also shows he snow on the background hills.

GFS shows a possible blizzard in the making all there wants is an east/NE-ly 30mph wind or above and heavy drifting snow.

60_30.gif

This gave 7 inches blizzards and huge drifts, looks very similar yet upper air was marginal in november 1996.

If the 18z GFS comes off, I'll get ~25cm of snow with a raging wind, oh my. Famous last words though.

That is a hell of a lot of ppn. If it is rain, which it probably will be, onto some snow covered ground, could be some nasty flooding.

Or 30cm+ of snow, guess which one i would like...

Didn't mention Mon/Tues snow...But Isabel OF sky did this morning which ties into the Met office

so another interesting day come Monday for us lot

Well It looks like the specifics have changed since this afternoon going by the healthy banter on the snow watch thread tonight It certainly is one to watch

I can feel another all nighter coming on monday night

Temps have dropped now -1.8c thought the cloud wasn`t going to clear until I saw XC.

Snow should be nice and crunchy tomorrow and with hardly any sun less thawing as temps will be lower to todays, then more snow or sleet.

Certainly worth watching this situation this morning, NMM suggesting dews here at the moment sould be around 0c, where as, in fact, they are still holding at -2c..IF the precip makes it this far then certainly worth keeping an eye on dews for the next few hours - by 10am they should be 1c here

And with thickness values looking satisfactory until mid afternoon some suprise snowfall could be on the way for some in the west
